About Scene 7
Scene 7 Theatre seeks to empower students (ages 6-18) and young adults through involvement in the performing arts. Participants are able to grow and develop confidence, creativity, and public speaking, as well as find skills they didn't know they had. Scene 7 exists to promote education and passion for students, young adults, and audiences in the performing arts.
For the past twenty years, Scene 7 Theatre has been a place for young people to express their creativity and imagination through theatrical productions in line with Biblical values. We strive to do everything, “whether in word or deed...in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Colossians 3:17) For most of that time we have been content to remain a small community organization, entertaining local families and friends – mostly from the homeschooling community.
In recent years, however, we have determined that the time has come for Scene 7 to expand our reach and presence in the greater Syracuse area.
One way to begin to achieve this goal is by becoming a non-profit organization (501c3). But there is a lot of work involved in making this a reality. We need support of all kinds, but first we need funds to cover the fees of the legal process. We will need several thousand dollars to begin the move to the next phase of Scene 7's development. If you want to be a part of this next exciting chapter in Scene 7's development, contact us today!
